Our "refueled" Feel the Thrill Tour offers fans a close-up look at areas that are off-limits on race days. You will see the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Garage, navigate through two infield race tracks, make your way down Pit Road and take a picture in Victory Circle. Learn the history of Charlotte Motor Speedway while enjoying a comfortable van ride around the Superspeedway where you will feel the full-tilt force of the 24-degree banking, Plus, visit zMAX Dragway and The Dirt Track at Charlotte on this exciting tour!

SPEAKER:

Ronald A. Stroman | Deputy Postmaster General and Chief Government Relations Officer

ron stromanRonald A. Stroman was named the 20th Deputy Postmaster General (DPMG) in March 2011. As the second-highest-ranking postal executive, he serves on the Postal Service Board of Governors and on Postmaster General Megan Brennan’s Executive Leadership Team.

Stroman facilitates relationships with the Congress, and with federal, state, and local agencies as the Postal Service pursues its core business strategies. He also has the lead role in working with the Universal Postal Union, and the Department of State on international postal policy.

Stroman has more than 30 years of professional experience in government, legislative affairs and leadership before becoming DPMG.

Stroman earned his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University Law Center.

GREENSBORO, NC – The Postal Service will observe the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday on Monday, Jan. 20, 2020. Post Offices will be closed and there will be no mail delivery with the exception of Priority Mail Express, which is available 365 days a year.

MONTEREY PARK, CA — The U.S. Postal Service today marked the beginning of the Lunar New Year by issuing a new Forever stamp celebrating the Year of the Rat. The stamp was dedicated during opening ceremonies of the Monterey Park Lunar New Year Festival, one of the largest festivals of its kind in the nation. The public is asked to share news of the stamp using the hashtag #LunarNewYear.

WASHINGTON – The Governors of the United States Postal Service are conducting a thorough, nationwide search for a successor to Postmaster General Megan J. Brennan, who announced her intent to retire effective Jan. 31, 2020. To facilitate the search and transition process, the Postmaster General has agreed to delay her retirement date.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Many consumers are in a sprint to the finish getting their holiday gifts and greetings in the mail. This week is anticipated to be the busiest week of the holiday mailing and shipping season for the Postal Service. The agency expects to process and deliver nearly 2.5 billion pieces of mail, including packages, this week alone.
