Tosh Comer serves as the Outreach and Marketing Specialist for the Small Business Administration (SBA). In line with the SBA's mission, she is dedicated to driving change and encouraging action, enabling small businesses to confidently start, grow, expand, or recover. Tosh achieves this by cultivating and nurturing a local network of collaborative partnerships with organizations that provide direct services to entrepreneurs. Additionally, she acts as the regional representative for the SBA at public events, conducting outreach initiatives, presentations, and training sessions to inform small businesses, lenders, and contracting communities about SBA programs, services, and important topics affecting small business growth and development.

Tosh actively advocates for an inclusive and equitable ecosystem that allows entrepreneurs to access essential resources for their businesses to thrive. She is also a strong proponent of networking. Previously, she led the Business Connectivity Alliances (BCA), a multi-regional statewide network that successfully partnered with over 440 organizations.

Under her leadership, the BCA built strategic relationships across North Carolina's entrepreneurial ecosystem to promote equitable collaboration and connectivity. Tosh believes that by strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem, we can foster sustainable businesses, contributing to a more robust local economy and greater opportunities for economic development throughout the state. This aligns with the saying, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."

Tosh is a proud graduate of North Carolina Central University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. She later obtained her Master's degree in Entrepreneurship from Western Carolina University. With several years of experience in customer service, financial services, tax accounting, higher education, business counseling, and Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). Tosh is eager, motivated, and well-equipped to support the entrepreneurial community.
